July 11th,

The Biker Boyz and I have finished up with our "Big Ride" for 2010.  We picked up six new states on the "long way" to Colorado.  This year, our main objective was to ride Colorado, but instead of taking the short route to get there, we decided to ride south and west before entering the state by the "four corners".  I need to pull out the maps to help me digest just how many mountains and passes we did, but some of the highlights of the trip were Santa Fe, Mesa Verde National Park, The Million Dollar Highway and Pikes Peak.  Although it was great, Rocky Mountain National Park didn't seem as "special" as I thought it would be, but it ended up being one of the last rides we did in the state rather the one of the first.  Just before we entered the park, we saw our first Moose in the wild, and after we left the park, we saw lots of big horn sheep.

Ride often , be safe and have fun!
